So, Brody is 8 months old as of February 1st. It's hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by! He's a full-fledged baby these days and is just so cute. As Justin says, Brody is in the sweet spot. He's mostly agreeable, can entertain himself for awhile and he can't really move anywhere yet. That not moving part is going to change any day though. He's very close to crawling. Here's a video of him from earlier tonight, trying to get his crawl on:
Some other facts about 8 month old Brody:
-He has 2 teeth. His bottom middle-right came in the first weekend of January. His bottom-middle-left came in the second weekend of January.
-He's wearing size 3 diapers.
-He's wearing mostly size 12 months for clothing, though we do still squeeze him into some that are size 9 months. That'll stop though because I finally went and bought him some more clothes today! Unfortunately we couldn't use a lot of Jay's old 12 month items because they were the wrong season.
-He's eating purees and baby cereal well. I've started mashing up some foods to increase the texture and he's doing ok with that. He still gags a lot, but he's getting better at maneuvering the food with his tongue each day. He hasn't mastered his pincer grasp yet, so feeding himself small things like puffs is challenging. He did have fun feeding himself a couple of Baby Mum Mums earlier though!
-He likes to "talk" and makes some hilarious faces while doing so.
-He loves his baths and splashing in the water.
-He's not 100% sleeping through the night yet, but he can put himself to sleep by babbling and moving about in his crib. So, putting him to bed and middle-of-the-night feedings have gotten much, much easier.
-He's a happy and cute little guy and we're blessed to have him! Here are some pictures of him from the other day:
