Eden Trip - July 2014

I took the boys to visit my family back in July.  I was going to write a very detailed post about it, but I decided that would take me way too long and I have a lot of other posts I want to do.  So, pictures and some brief descriptions it is.  Enjoy!

I hit a deer an hour into our trip.  My car was out of commission, so we had it towed and I rented a car to use.  It took 3 weeks to get my car back, which was a major annoyance.  Not to mention the expense!   Everyone was OK though (except for probably the deer), which is the most important thing.  Hitting a deer became the theme of the week with Jay.  He made all of his cars crash into deer and had them towed away.

Getting the boys, especially Jay, to sleep at my mom's house was difficult.

Finally asleep!

Jay napping with Grandma.  That lasted 3 seconds.
We took the boys to Hidden Valley Animal Adventure in Varysburg.  It was a lot of fun and I'm sure we'll go back again when they're a bit older, so they can appreciate it more.  Jay was a bit overwhelmed on the trolley ride, especially when the elk approached the trailer.  He kept saying he wanted those animals to leave him alone.

Poor Brody was under the weather with a virus and teething for part of the trip.

My dad and I took Jay to Sturgeon Point Marina and a playground one afternoon.

Don't take my picture, Mommy!

Playing cars with Grandpa.

Grandpa brought a fun new car ramp.

Had a lovely visit with Granny.  She even cooked us a yummy pork roast dinner!  Jay impressed her with his meat-eating :)

Skipping naps was catching up with him.

We loved visiting our family in Eden!
