May 2015 - Quick Picture Recap

Here are some pictures from the month of May!  Enjoy :)

Mother's Day - we spent a quiet day at home, playing in the backyard

May 16th - Jay was sick with a stomach bug, which Brody had come down with first.  The boys took a shower in our bathroom after Jay got sick and needed a cleaning. During the afternoon, Jay and Justin fell asleep because they were exhausted after being up a lot of the night.  

May 17th - I took the boys to the playground in the morning while Justin mowed the lawn.  It was at the playground that I realized that I had the stomach bug.  The rest of the day was not very fun!  Justin realized he was next and did his best to avoid getting sick by not eating anything.  He was sort of successful, but he didn't feel right for a good number of days.  It was a rough week for all of us!

May 23rd - Brody had his first eye exam.  He mostly cooperated, but he did get upset after the doctor said he could wait outside while his dilation drops took effect.  She meant in the waiting room.  He took it to mean outdoors.  After the eye exam, we took both boys to get their hair cut.  The last pictures are of Brody looking at the playset models we were considering.  Tough choices!

May 24th - We played outside.  Even Hobbes joined us.  He took shelter behind a soccer net!

Why do we bother buying toys?  

You can't tell, but they're actually crying here because we are
mean parents that keep them locked in the backyard ;-P

May 25th - Memorial Day - We went to Serena and John's for a BBQ.  While there, Jay and Brody got to sit on their tractor.  We then went fishing off the little bridge in their neighborhood.  It was while fishing that Jay got hit by a boy on a bicycle.  We had to leave the BBQ early and head to the ER at Danbury Hospital, where we spent the next 4 hours.  Jay was a little banged up, but thankfully he was ok.  While at the hospital, Brody developed a fever (we anticipated he was coming down with something) and he was in rough shape when we left.  What a day!

May 26th - this last picture was taken by Grandma Clarke.  She watched the boys while we worked.  Brody was sick with a fever and Jay was feeling banged up from the bike accident, so neither went to school that day.
