November 2015

November was another busy month!  We had a birthday party for Jay on the first Saturday of the month.  He had five friends and their siblings and families over for a Paw Patrol themed party.  We set up the newly/mostly finished basement for the party and lucked out with a beautiful and relatively warm fall day.  The kids had a blast playing outside and in the basement with some of the toys we brought down.  We did pin the badge on Chase and decorated some puppies with fabric markers.  It all went remarkably well!  Here are some pictures from that:

Some other notable things that happened that month:

-Jay had his 4-year checkup at a new doctor's office.  He was not happy about the change at first, but eventually warmed up.  We switched doctors because scheduling with our previous doctor was becoming impossible.  The first appointment she could give me for this checkup was December 18th, which wasn't going to work with daycare requirements.  The next appointment available wasn't until April!

-I attended the Friendship Feast at daycare.  Brody's was at 11am and Jay's was at noon, so I was able to attend both without any trouble.  Brody had trouble comprehending that I was there for lunch with him and not to take him home.  It took me awhile to get him settled and interested in doing any crafts or eat lunch.  He let me leave with no problem though, which was a surprise.  My visit with Jay was fun and there were no tears or confusion.  Just happiness :)

-The Sunday before Thanksgiving, we headed down to NYC to visit Grandpa Clarke and Grandma Brigid, plus Julian, Lucy and little Charlie.  We ventured to central park and played on a couple of playgrounds.

-We went to Eden to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family.  It was a good visit and I'm looking forward to visiting with the kids again soon!

-We got our Christmas tree on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

These were the school picture proofs.  I loved so many of the pictures; it was really hard to choose!

At school the kids wrote notes to a family member.  I got an apology!

Jay had to disguise a turkey for one of his homework assignments.  This turkey is disguised as
Raphael from the Ninja Turtles!

Decorating the tree!

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas was on in the background.
