Once again, I'm quite late on posting a monthly update on Jay. He turned 10 months back on August 31st. On September 5th he went to the doctor for his (late) 9 month visit. He measured in at 30 inches and 23 pounds. The doctor was pleased with his progress and declared him perfect, as she has in pretty much all of our well child visits.
Some things Jay's up to these days: crawling, cruising, loving and squeezing the pets, opening cabinets and drawers, pulling things out of and putting things in pretty much anything he can, looking out the windows, playing in the pets' water bowl, feeding himself, screaming, dancing to music, throwing and chasing balls, looking in books, playing with puzzles and practicing walking. He's a busy little guy!
Jay is such a good eater and will try pretty much anything. He's given a wide variety of foods at daycare and usually his daily report says that he ate it all. He sleeps well and usually sleeps from approximately 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Sometimes we get lucky and he sleeps later...or, unlucky, and he gets up earlier.
He wears size 12 month clothing, though the shirts and bodysuits are seeming to get small on him now. Pants are a different story. Some are way too long and others fit perfectly. He's still in a size 3 diaper. Speaking of diapers, changing those is quite the challenge. He does not want to stay still for it and we usually tag team him to get it done as quickly and painlessly as possible. Bedtime is torture for him - a diaper and clothing change. Oh no!
He has 4 teeth and at least one of the top side teeth is working its way in right now. This has been causing him some discomfort this week. Yesterday he was playing and he just started crying out of the blue, which is unusual. The other night he also woke up crying and we couldn't get him to go back down until after giving him some ibuprofen.
That's all I can think of that's going on with our little guy at the moment. He's got a birthday coming up in 5 1/2 weeks which we're really looking forward to!
